Best Green Screen iPhone Apps for Creators and Videographers

Videoleap Editor by Lightrix Green Screen iPhone App

Whether you create content for Instagram, YouTube, or the big screen, removing backgrounds from images and videos has become an integral part of the mix. And hence, green screen apps for iPhone and iPad are also becoming super popular.

I’ve ventured to test various green-screen iPhone apps to find the best. And here are some apps that I really like and enjoy using. But before that, let me start with the basics!

Things to consider before choosing Green Screen App

The concept of green screen is very simple. You cover the background and other objects in a single shade, usually bright green or blue, and record video or click images.

Later, in the edit table, the color is selected and taken out of view; ie, it magically disappears, leaving a blank space. You can superimpose the video/image on any other background or video.

What features should I look for in a green screen video editor?

While green screen refers to the process of recording video, chroma-key is a technical term used to remove the hue of a specified color. So, while searching or exploring an app, look for this term.

Additionally, some apps use the term overlay to describe the effect. What’s even better is that the app has a multi-track timeline, blending modes, masking, color correction, opacity, etc.
